BONJOUR!

BONJOUR and a very good evening to my fellow readers! You are probably thinking why am I speaking French right now and the answer is, this post is all about FRANCE!. Well, literally. This post is actually about a French movie that we watched in one of our Media Appreciation lecture on a gloomy Friday evening. This French movie that we watched is called Delicatessen!

If you would have to ask me what I think about the movie, I would sum it all up with just one word, UNUSUAL! Don't get me wrong though, I enjoyed the movie but I honestly find it a bit weird. The reason is due to the fact that this mad butcher, cuts people up and sells them to his customers. I mean that is just, sick and twisted. The setting of this film was set in a post-apocalyptic world where the residents of an apartment above the butcher shop receive an occasional delicacy of meat which was something that is in low supply. To overcome the supply, the butcher cuts human flesh up and sells them which is quite disturbing to me.

The movie also shows that food was very scarce and people would do anything just to get a grain of rice or whatever sort of food they can get their hands on for example the troglodytes, a grain eating sub-group of society who live entirely underground.
Here's a short trailer of the movie Delicatessen! Hope you guys enjoy it :)

Watching this movie was not really an enjoyable experience for me to be honest. Most scenes were gory and disgusting based on my opinion. I am not a guy who loves seeing people get slaughtered and seeing pools of blood in the kitchen. One part of the movie that I really did enjoy was when the ex clown of a circus fell in love with the daughter of the butcher where he would practically do anything for her just to see her have a smile on her face.

Well, that is all for today's post! Have a good night everyone! :)
